Blakehay Friday

The Blakehay, formally a Baptist church, has undergone a transformation in the last few years and now stands on the threshold of a new era. well that might be a bit over the top but it does look as though the theatre will be getting its long-awaited refurbishment. Today I spent a pleasant hour with the guy who is responsible for drawing up the plans and I’ve got to say he has some neat, simple, practical solutions to the Blakehay’s basic problems. Friday is always busy at the Blakehay and today was no exception Annie from South West Arts came in to drop a few things in ready for their groups art exhibition and we took a booking for a Flamenco evening in February. The Auditorium was ominously quiet but that will change when the panto starts next week.
